I had such a great time at Sibylle’s cooking class. The wander through the market was a fun way to learn about local seasonal food, and it really set the tone for the day. Sybille has such a warm and approachable teaching style that makes you feel instantly at ease, no matter your cooking level. The carrot soup we cooked together was simple yet incredibly flavorful, and the taste test of different cheeses was both fun and educational, especially with her thoughtful explanations and pairings. What I loved most was the balance between learning practical techniques, hands-on cooking, and then sitting down to enjoy the results in good company. I left not only inspired and full, but also with new confidence to recreate the recipes at home. I’d highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a memorable and delicious way to connect with food and local culture.

Our cooking class with Sibylle was an unforgettable experience. She was incredibly accommodating, arranging a private class that began with a trip to the farmers market, where she introduced us to local produce, shared fascinating insights about regional ingredients, and even expanded our cheese knowledge. Back in her beautiful home kitchen, she guided us through each step with great technique, patience, and excellent English, making everything easy to follow. After cooking, we all sat down together to enjoy the delicious meal, making the experience even more special. She even sent us home with recipes and kindly offered to drive us back into town. If you’re looking for a warm, hands-on cooking experience, Sibylle is simply the best!

I had a wonderful experience with Sibylle! She showed us around the market and we bought from local sellers. Then she took us back to her very comfortable home and we made four delicious dishes. She’s a great conversationalist and it was a lovely time. Would definitely recommend to English speakers traveling in Annecy looking to get local flavor.

My husband and I joined sibylle for a cooking experience when visiting Annecy from Scotland. She was so friendly, and chilled, knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. We met her at the market where she chatted to us about local produce and where she picked out the ingredients for the menu she curated for us. After a short drive back to her house, she welcomed us into her home and she made us feel so comfortable. We had lots of jobs to do, putting together a menu of beetroot veloute, cabbage leaves stuffed with mince meat, and a tart tatin. We loved that the menu was true to French cooking, not too complicated, easy to recreate in the UK (ingredients-wise) and tasty. We tried some cheese and wine while cooking. And then ate our 3courses with sibylle. What a unique but lovely experience. We would highly recommend to anyone, whether cooking is your thing or not, it was so memorable. This experience was worth a trip to France in and of itself! Sibylle was the most wonderful teacher and host, and she is an extremely skilled chef and pastry chef! We had the best time talking to her and learned so much. We specifically did a French pastry class, and got to make crepes with apples and caramel sauce, a chocolate tart, and choux pastry with vanilla cream. Each one was unbelievably delicious and we can’t wait to make them at home and impress all our friends! Sibylle was so easy to talk to, was so welcoming, and very patient with us. We can’t wait to come next time we visit and try one of her full 3-course meal classes. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a laid-back, educational, and most enjoyable afternoon. My husband and I had a fabulous cooking experience with Sibylle. Her home is beautiful and we felt welcomed immediately upon arrival. Sibylle led us through three recipes and each were scrumptious! We had a hands on learning experience followed by an opportunity to gather at her table and share what we made. This is one of my highlights so far from my trip to Europe. The cozy atmosphere, kind and easy-to-talk-to instructor, and delicious food - we were spoiled with the best. If you’re in Annecy, I highly recommend booking with Sibylle. She’s a treasure!

We recently had a cooking class experience with Sybille and would recommend to others! Sibylle is a friendly and encouraging lead chef in her kitchen and we were very involved in cooking classic French dishes. The ingredients and recipes were delicious. Sybille accommodated our dietary needs and communicated very well in the lead up to our experience. Great food and great conversation! This was a highlight of our trip through the area and we look forward to trying out the recipes again at home soon!
